CS2 Skin Float Checker & Trade-Up Planner
Every CS2 skin has a float value that determines its look and price. Knowing exact floats is essential for trade-up planning — a few decimal points can mean the difference between Factory New and Minimal Wear output.

Every CS2 skin has a float value — a number between 0.00 and 1.00 that determines its visual wear condition:
- 0.00–0.07: Factory New (FN) — pristine, most expensive
- 0.07–0.15: Minimal Wear (MW) — slight wear marks
- 0.15–0.38: Field-Tested (FT) — visible wear, most common
- 0.38–0.45: Well-Worn (WW) — significant wear
- 0.45–1.00: Battle-Scarred (BS) — heavy wear, cheapest
Within each tier, lower float = better appearance. A 0.150 FT skin looks much better than a 0.370 FT skin.
Float Ranges Per Skin
Each skin model has its own min/max float range. Examples:
- AK-47 | Redline: 0.10–0.70 (no FN possible)
- AWP | Asiimov: 0.18–1.00 (no FN or MW possible)
- M4A4 | Howl: 0.00–0.40 (FN possible, no BS)
- AK-47 | Vulcan: 0.00–0.80 (full range except near-BS)
TradeUpX's skin database shows the float range for every skin, so you can instantly see which wear conditions are possible.
Why Float Matters for Trade-Ups
In trade-up contracts, float values serve two critical functions:
- Input float determines output float: The average of your 10 input floats feeds into the output formula
- Output float determines output price: Factory New outputs can be worth 5–20× Field-Tested
This creates a profit opportunity: by carefully selecting input floats, you can control the output wear and target the most valuable condition.
Use the float calculator to predict exactly what output float your trade-up will produce.
