About CS2 Trade-Up Collections
In CS2, a trade-up contract uses 10 input skins of the same rarity, and the output pool is built from the collections those inputs come from. Understanding which collections have the best output-to-input price ratios is central to profitable trade-up trading.
The most important factor is output diversity — collections with 3+ valuable output skins at the next rarity tier spread your risk and keep EV high. Collections with only one valuable output skin and several worthless ones have poor expected value regardless of the jackpot skin's price.
Collection skin counts change as Valve updates CS2. TradeUpX uses live data from the ByMykel CS2 API, which covers 460+ skins across all collections.
