How to Import Your CS2 Inventory for Trade-Up Analysis (2025)

The most profitable CS2 trade-ups are often hiding in your own inventory. You already own the input skins — you just don't know which combinations are worth executing. TradeUpX's CSV inventory mode analyses your actual inventory and shows exactly which trade-ups are profitable using skins you already have. This guide shows you how to export your inventory and use it in the scanner.

Step 1: Export Your CS2 Inventory

TradeUpX uses a CSV file of your inventory. Since Steam's API is currently restricted, the easiest way is the Steam Inventory Helper browser extension (Chrome/Firefox):
  1. Install Steam Inventory Helper (free, widely used)
  2. Open your Steam profile inventory
  3. Click the extension's Export button
  4. Select "CS2" as the game
  5. Export as CSV
The CSV will contain your skin names, wear, float values, and estimated prices — exactly what TradeUpX needs.

Step 2: Upload to TradeUpX

  1. Open TradeUpX
  2. In the left sidebar, find CSV Inventar
  3. Drag and drop your CSV file, or click to browse
  4. TradeUpX validates the file — you'll see a summary: "X skins found, Y usable"
  5. Click Scan CSV — the button changes text automatically when a CSV is loaded
The scanner will match your inventory skins against the game's skin catalog, group them by collection and rarity, and find every profitable 10-skin combination you can execute right now.

What the Scanner Checks

When scanning your CSV inventory, TradeUpX checks each potential combination for:
  • Rarity match: All 10 skins must be the same rarity tier
  • Collection validity: Limited Edition skins are skipped (cannot be used in trade-ups)
  • Exact float values: Your actual floats from the CSV are used — not estimated values
  • Output float prediction: Using the correct adjusted float formula
  • Current market prices: EV is based on live/cached marketplace prices
  • Steam fee: Applied to output prices for real ROI
Results show only combinations where you have enough of the right skins. If you have 6 of the 10 needed, those combinations don't appear — you'd need to buy the remaining 4.

Reading Your Inventory Scan Results

The CSV scan results show additional information compared to a normal scan:
  • Exact inputs: Your actual float values for each input skin
  • Real cost basis: Based on your CSV's price column (if present)
  • Output float: Precise calculation using your actual floats
  • Missing count: How many more skins you'd need to buy to complete a combo
Tip: Sort by ROI and look for combinations where you already have 8–10 of the needed skins. Buying the last 2–4 inputs to complete a profitable combo is a common and reliable strategy.
